Digital Watercolor
This technique was developed
here to create a softness not found in computer rendering, yet maintain control
over color and materials to accurately reflect the architecture. A looser
version is also available, combining pencil sketching with the Digital Watercolor
washes.
As with all of our digital work, the renderings can be approached in different
ways in order to plan for possible post-completion modifications.
These renderings are delivered printed on Arches® watercolor paper, as
small as 8.5"x11" and as large as 40"x 90".
Digital Photorealism
This technique
is best suited for commercial projects, although it has been used successfully
for zoning approval. The uncanny reality leaves little to the imagination
and presents an honest "what you see is what you get" feeling.
Where accuracy is critical, we gather site photographs and construct the 3D
model in proper relationship to its environment.
These have taken gouache rendering to the next level with greater realism
and the flexibility of color and material studies, without requiring new renderings.
Traditional Gouache
This is the tried and true
hand painted technique using designer's gouache and pure Kolinsky sable brushes
on illustration board. This meticulous and time consuming technique, still
produces some of the most wonderful moods.
Modifications to the painting are limited and not always possible. Reproduction
is accomplished through photography.
